The Contest: ![]() Currentfilm.com is starting a new contest for "Star Trek: The Original Series Remastered: - Season 3" which will be available on 11/18/08 from Paramount Home Entertainment. Currentfilm.com will be sending 5 lucky winners a copy of the set on DVD. Send your name and full address (US residents only) to contcf4@aol.com. You MUST write "TREK" in the subject of the email. Name and personal information will not be shared - the information is used solely to determine a winner. ONE email entry PER person. Winners will be randomly chosen from the emails recieved. The contest ends at 7am Central Time on 11/28/08, and winners will be picked from emails that have arrived by that time. At that time, winner will be notified. Prizes will be sent approximately 10-15 days after. Meticulously remastered from the original camera negative, each classic episode is presented in pristine condition with new state-of-the-art digital visual effects and a new 5.1 soundtrack. The new computer-generated Enterprise is based on the exact measurements of the original model, which now rests in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. The refurbished episodes also feature higher quality sound for the famous opening theme. The original score by Emmy® Award-winning composer Alexander Courage has been re-recorded in state-of-the-art digital stereo audio with an orchestra and a female singer belting out the famous vocals. A digitally remastered version of William Shatner’s classic original recording of the 38-word “Space, the final frontier…” monologue continues to open each episode.
