The Movie:

Although I'm not a fan of some of the musical roads he's taken with recent albums, I've gotten to enjoy Sting's work after listening to some of his recent DTS Music CDs, both solo work (the wonderful sounding "Brand New Day" CD) or his work with the Police highlighted in the "Greatest Hits" CD.

He's a great performer, as well. During his concerts, he genuinely seems to enjoy being onstage, and belts out his songs with energy and soul. This particular concert offers older songs and new hits such as "Desert Rose".

1. A Thousand Years
2. If You Love Somebody (Set Them Free)
3. After The Rain Has Fallen
4. We’ll Be Together
5. Perfect Love…Gone Wrong
6. Seven Days
7. Fill Her Up
8. Every LittleThing She Does Is Magic
9. Ghost Story
10. Moon Over Bourbon Street
11. Englishman In New York
12. Brand New Day
13. Tomorrow We’ll See
14. Desert Rose
15. Every Breath You Take
16. Lithium Sunset
17. Message In A Bottle
18. Fragile

The DVD

VIDEO: The video quality for the concert isn't bad, but also has its share of brief flaws. Sharpness is generally good, and clarity is never lacking. I noticed a few very brief, very minor instances of pixelation, but this didn't prove to be a distraction.

SOUND: The Dolby Digital 5.1 audio for the concert is very good, offering an enveloping presentation with music that is clear and crisp, with some definite bass during some of the more "rock" songs, such as "Desert Rose". Surrounds are put to use for a mild amount of music and some crowd noise; their use is never distracting nor does it overshadow the presentation.

The sound is never thin, but it's very slightly less smooth than some of the other recent concert DVDs that I've listened to lately. Sting's vocals come through clearly, and generally, the Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack offers a solid presentation of the concert audio.

MENUS:: The menus have some light animation and songs in the background from the show. A nice intro to the concert.

EXTRAS::

Behind-the-Scenes: A very enjoyable, personal look at the events that go on before the concert. This includes interview footage with Sting as he talks about his thoughts on music and playing for a crowd, among other topics.

Final Thoughts: A very good concert; maybe not the best DVD it could be, but still solid.
