In Short: Although the image quality is fine, there isn't even a trailer included on this disc.

The Movie:

Although not one of the most famous animated efforts from Disney, "Lady and The Tramp" is still a wonderfully enjoyable picture for those of all ages. The film is about Lady, a present given from Jim Dear to his wife. Lady comes upon Tramp, a dog from the other side of the tracks, and the two become romantic. Few who've seen this film can forget either the cute dinner scene, or the villians who are present for far too little time, the Siamese cats.

The DVD

VIDEO:
Like
Peter Pan, this is another impressive transfer of one of Disney's animated classics. The image is letterboxed at the film's original aspect ratio of 2.35:1. Aside from a slight amount of grain, there really isn't many faults to this image. The great majority of the widescreen image looks clear and clean, although one can't help but think an anamorphic transfer would have cleaned up the slight, occasional problem.

SOUND: Like Pinocchio and Peter Pan, all of the elements brought together here sound clean and clear, with no problems or distortion. The score is natural and crisp throughout as well.

MENUS:: Like all of the other Disney animated titles, this is another missed opportunity; instead of creating an animated menu to introduce the movie, the menu included is very basic.

EXTRAS: Like "Peter Pan", there aren't any extras on this DVD, either.

Final Thoughts: Nice picture quality, but nice picture quality isn't worth 40 bucks. I have almost the same feelings about this as I do with the DVD edition of "Peter Pan". Sure, it's a wonderful movie, but with not even a trailer for $39.99, I certainly can't recommend it.
