The film: This is the 3rd DVD I've looked at from BMG Music, and again, I'm impressed with the quality of work that goes into their efforts. This time, they have brought fans of the Dave Matthews Band a very strong presenation of their live performance. Even though I'm not a fan of the band, I couldn't help but get into the performance and found much to like about the band, who are all talented musicians. The songs included in the over 2 hour performance are: Pantala Naga Pampa, Rapunzel, Rhyme and Reason, The Stone, #41, Crash into Me, Jimi Thing, #36, Warehouse, Too Much, True Reflections, Two Step, Granny, Stay (Wasting Time), #40, Long Black Veil, Don't Drink the Water, All Along the Watchtower While it's not quite the most impressive sound I've heard in a concert recording on DVD(that would be Sheryl Crow's Rockin' The Globe: Live), it still certainly does the job very well, bringing through the music from all of the instruments clearly and keeps the singing from Matthews crystal clear, never becoming overshadowed and always easily understood. It's a smooth, lively presentation that captures the performance very well. The video quality is top-notch on this release - the entire presentation is full-frame and razor sharp throughout, with good color and absolutely no problems whatsoever. There's also a couple of extra features that are worth noting - during three of the songs, you can use the multiple angle feature to highlight one of the band members; there's also a photo gallery and web links. The menu has songs from the performance playing in the background - there's also a song election menu, but oddly, no track listing anywhere on the box of the DVD. There's no insert or mention of which songs are included on the back. On one of BMG's efforts that are documentaries like Time Out With Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera: Genie Gets Her Wish it doesn't make as much difference, but on a concert DVD, it's an unfortunate choice not to have the songs listed on the case, or in an insert. Still, I thought it was an excellent, energetic performance and certainly an otherwise enjoyable DVD.
