Odd Couple 2
Paramount
2.35:1/AC3

It's been 17 years since Oscar and Felix last saw each other. But with one phone call, the two are back together since their children are getting married to one another. The trip takes a wrong turn when the two lose their car and are forced to take a road trip across the country to attend the wedding.

I didn't see this film in the theater after it got horrid reviews, and after seeing the last few films with Matthau and Lemmon, I wasn't looking forward to seeing this film at all. My suprise, after going in with low expectations, I found the film kinda funny and a lot funnier than the other films the two have starred in recently. Lemmon and Matthau go through the motions of starring in yet another comedy together, but there are a few funny lines that gave me a good chuckle. It's a generic comedy that would be perfect on television, but it's fairly harmless and kinda funny at times.

This is my first Paramount DVD that I've watched and they didn't do a bad job. The transfer is fairly good throughout although far from the best transfers I've seen in my short time owning a DVD player. Colors are vibrant and crisp and there aren't any artifacts that I could spot. Some of the day scenes look *really* good. The sound is decent, but it's not a real agressive sounding film, if you know what I mean.

As for extras, there really isn't any. There's the trailer. That's it. It's not enhanced for 16x9 TVs. The menus aren't animated.
